Anxious that Wikileaks may be on the verge of publishing a batch of secret State Department cables, investigators are desperately searching for founder Julian Assange. Philip Shenon reports.

Pentagon investigators are trying to determine the whereabouts of the Australian-born founder of the secretive website Wikileaks for fear that he may be about to publish a huge cache of classified State Department cables that, if made public, could do serious damage to national security, government officials tell The Daily Beast.

The officials acknowledge that even if they found the website founder, Julian Assange, it is not clear what they could do to block publication of the cables on Wikileaks, which is nominally based on a server in Sweden and bills itself as a champion of whistleblowers.

“We’d like to know where he is; we’d like his cooperation in this,” one U.S. official said of Assange.

American officials said Pentagon investigators are convinced that Assange is in possession of at least some classified State Department cables leaked by a 22-year-old Army intelligence specialist, Bradley Manning of Potomac, Maryland, who is now in custody in Kuwait.

And given the contents of the cables, the feds have good reason to be concerned.

As The Daily Beast reported June 8, Manning, while posted in Iraq, apparently had special access to cables prepared by diplomats and State Department officials throughout the Middle East, regarding the workings of Arab governments and their leaders, according to an American diplomat.

The cables, which date back over several years, went out over interagency computer networks available to the Army and contained information related to American diplomatic and intelligence efforts in the war zones in Afghanistan and Iraq, the diplomat said.

American officials would not discuss the methods being used to find Assange, nor would they say if they had information to suggest where he is now. “We’d like to know where he is; we’d like his cooperation in this,” one U.S. official said of Assange.

Assange, who first gained notoriety as a computer hacker, is as secretive as his website and has no permanent home.

He was in the United States as recently as several weeks ago, when he gave press interviews to promote the website’s release of an explosive 2007 video of an American helicopter attack in Baghdad that left 12 people dead, including two employees of the news agency Reuters.

Wikileaks has not replied directly to email messages from The Daily Beast.

It has been over a year since the most recent peer-reviewed scientific article was published on the finding of energetic materials in the WTC dust.[i] During this time, the article was personally delivered to members of Congress and others in positions of power.[ii] Some of those leaders, like 9/11 Commission co-chairman Lee Hamilton, have repeatedly declined invitations to discuss the evidence.[iii] But ultimately, there has been no official response by the U.S. government, and we have seen only apathy or feigned ignorance in response to these explosive findings. In the last few months, however, one of the people who did the most to cover-up the crimes of 9/11 has surfaced again, and is requesting samples.

Immediately after the article was published, it appeared that a response might be forthcoming due to inexplicable damage to several packages sent, via the US Postal Service, between some of the investigators who were involved. When my colleague Steven Jones sent a sample of the red-gray chips to my post office box in late April 2009, the samples had been removed from the double envelope package through a series of slits just barely big enough to slide the small vial out. The postal inspector never responded to my complaint. But when I later mailed something to my colleague James Gourley, the envelope arrived with a corner ripped out, in a gross kind of damage that neither of us had ever seen.[iv]

Over the next few months we saw unprecedented attacks levied on the journal that published the paper. The editors of the journal were pummeled with email and blog attacks and one of them, who had not been involved in review of the paper, resigned. Some attackers even sought to discredit the Bentham Science family of journals, of which the Open Chemical Physics journal was one member, by submitting phony articles to see if they could get published. Discrediting Bentham Science would not have fully removed the threat to the official story, however, because the evidence for energetic materials at the WTC is supported by peer-reviewed papers in scientific journals other than just Bentham.[v],[vi]

It is not certain if the mail tampering or the attacks against Bentham Science were responses from those who created the official reports. More recent events, however, suggest that our corporate-funded politicians might have decided to produce an official response to the article after all.

In January of this year, one of the independent sample collectors who provided WTC dust to our investigative team wrote to me about an inquiry.

At Visibility 9-11, we are dedicated to educating people about the September 11th attacks, which unfortunately includes the dirty topic of COINTELPRO style disruption of all sorts. In 2007, we did our Special Report on what COINTELPRO is and some of the clues to look for when looking at the behavior of others in the 9-11 movement. We are pleased to say that since then, awareness of intentional disruption of the movement has increased greatly and these episodes of the show have been some of our most popular.

We caution anyone from directly accusing anyone of being an agent of the government as this is nearly impossible to prove. It is not our job to ascertain a persons intentions when their behavior is suspect; it doesn’t really matter what their intentions are. The end result is always the same and we must learn to distance ourselves, our websites, and our activism from disruptive and reckless individuals. The work of our movement is too valuable and too serious to not take the COINTELPRO threat seriously; this we must do. The first step is to learn about it and how to spot the behavior that is hurting our activism.

Visibility 9-11 is excited to welcome for the first time long-term activist/organiser, film maker, writer, engineer and psychologist Ken Jenkins. Ken’s qualities of patience, fairness, optimism and clear logical thinking are well displayed in this interview! I consider Ken a cornerstone of this movement pursuing 9/11 Truth, which he has devoted nearly 9 years of his life to. Ken’s work is primarily as a film maker.  He has produced and directed documentaries for the likes of Richard Gage, David Ray Griffin and Dr Steven Jones, just to name a few. Ken’s skills have been invaluable to the 9-11 movement and given us all valuable tools to help us all take many scientific and academic presentations to the the general public.  Ken is a professional videographer and consistently provides these films at a high level of production value and offers them at a tenth of the cost to us to use in our activsm. It is true to say that without the efforts of Ken Jenkins and his right-hand man hummux our movement would be less successful! Visibility 9-11 sincerely thanks Ken and hummux for this very important and tedious work.

Ken is also a very popular speaker and generally talks about the psychological barriers to 9/11 Truth. He recently published an excellent article The Truth is Not Enough: How to Overcome Emotional Barriers to 9/11 Truth which was requested by the magazine editors of Global Outlook for the 13th edition.

In this episode of Visibility 9-11 we discuss what’s reasonable and what works for 9/11 Truth. Some of topics we consider include;

> Are we to quick to label people or ideas as influenced, owned or controlled by our opposition?
> The destructive nature of exotic theories and wild claims, including the recent claim of Pilots for 9/11 Truth that flight 11 and 175 obtained “impossible speed” approaching the Twin Towers.

> Why can’t we get support from the peace movement and is it important anyway?

I want you to pay attention to this. I said, on November 25th 2009, 9/11 was done by people in our own government, and our own banking system, to perpetuate the fear in the American people, so that they might subordinate themselves so that the government may get them to do whatever they want us to do. And this was to create this endless war on terror. But the war on terror is a cover and a fraud for the real war, which is a war against Islam.

In 2001 we experienced the horrific events of 9/11. But there are many who are saying that the official government version of events is not what really happened. As recently as this month, the Republican candidate in the Texas gubernatorial race, her name is Deborah Medina, said on the Glenn Beck show: “I think some very good questions have been raised. In that regard there are some very good arguments. And I think the American people have not seen all the evidence there.” But she quickly backed off from what she said.

AFP – Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has written to UN chief Ban Ki-moon, asking him to launch an investigation into the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States, news reports said on Monday.

“The minimum expectation from your excellency is to set up an independent and trusted fact-finding group to comprehensively investigate the real factors behind September 11,” Ahmadinejad said in the text of the letter carried by official news agencies.

They did not say when the letter was sent.

The hardliner, who in March dismissed 9/11 as a “big lie,” said in the letter that the attacks “were the main pretext for attacks” by NATO on Afghanistan and Iraq.

Several times Ahmadinejad has questioned the accepted version of the Al-Qaeda strikes on New York and Washington which killed nearly 3,000 people.

In January, he branded September 11 “a suspicious affair” similar to the Holocaust, which he dismissed as a “myth” in 2005, drawing widespread condemnation.

Ahmadinejad’s latest remarks come with Iran locked in a standoff with world powers led by the United States over Tehran’s controversial nuclear programme, and risking tougher sanctions over its defiance.

In his letter, he also asked Ban to condemn Sunni militant Abdolmalek Rigi and those who backed him.

Rigi, head of the rebel Jundallah (Soldiers of God) group, was captured by Iranian intelligence agents in February. According to officials in Iran, he had lived in Pakistan from where he launched attacks inside the Islamic republic.

“Based on the legal and humane duties of the secretary general, we want outright condemnation of Rigi’s crimes and defence of the Iranian nation’s rights as a victim of terrorism,” Ahmadinejad’s letter said.

He demanded “condemnation of NATO backing for this regional terrorist and impeachment of the criminals who backed him.”

Iran touted Rigi’s arrest as a major success and a blow to the United States and Britain, and state television showed what it said was Rigi confessing that he had received US backing.

Rigi reportedly spearheaded several bloody insurgent attacks in southeast Iran’s Sistan-Baluchestan province, which borders both Pakistan and Afghanistan.

So who is Betsy Metz?

Betsy Metz is the quintessential All-American gal! She is a well educated and fiercely patriotic mother of four and a devoted and loving wife of her husband for 26 happy years. Her husband is also the All-American, being a college quarterback and an ex Marine Corps Officer. Together as a family they want for nothing and by any standard they have had an excellent and prosperous life. This life would be impossible in nearly any other country in the world and it is fair to say they are living the “American Dream”!

So why does Betsy Metz matter to me and to you in this age of the awakening?

Well Betsy is a little different to the average American successful middle-class mum; “she cares” and “she acts” in the interest of her country, her family and the world. Betsy honours Truth, Justice and what she thought was the American way. The way of freedom, liberty and most importantly the way of courage, that is the courage to face treasonous tyranny in her America!

When Betsy started to see in 2003 that we had been lied to about the war in Iraq, she cared. When she found out through self education 9/11 was a lie in 2006 she really cared a lot and was compelled to act! Betsy began one of the most important individual efforts to raise awareness of the crimes of 9/11 we have seen in the world, period.

With a smile and a determination to her use her affluence for good and not for the greedy pursuit of materialism she has single-handedly done more to preserve the American Dream she lives, than any in her local community. She joins a very small group of men and women in America that can look themselves in the mirror and say I did my duty to preserve what gave me the blessed life I have had and I want for future generations.

Any one you ask about Betsy within the 9/11 Truth Movement says the same things, they love her and they know she can be counted on to produce the goods, time and time again!

This month of March 2010 Betsy took us to another level with our quest for the pursuit of 9/11 Truth. I on behalf of us all around the world, thank you Betsy, and the great American family that supports you, bravo!

If the “American Dream” is still alive, it lives in Betsy Metz!

Let our dearest Betsy be an example to the many of us that have benefited from freedom and wealth America gave to our world. Lets do as she does and act now with all our means and with all our hearts to fight to expose the treason living large in America and within it’s empire.

At the end of the show we discuss good methods for reaching out to people who ordinarily wouldn’t be open to 9/11 truth. It should be noted that Jon is considered controversial by some in the 9/11 truth movement because of his very critical approach to the evidence of the crimes of 9/11. Jon prefers to stick to the facts that “speak for themselves” and Jon is not a promoter of the controlled demolition hypothesis. I and a great many others would agree that being careful with evidence is a must, although we would strongly argue that the destruction of WTC 7 does “speak for itself”; screaming out “Controlled Demolition!”. But as Jon likes to remind us, the advocacy of any particular hypothesis is not a prerequisite for being a 9/11 truth activist.

Unplug the Signal: The Truth Will Not Be Televised

A flow of information is constantly streaming from the television set; a bombardment of words and pictures.  The speed at which this information is communicated makes it easy for the signal to take control, switching the viewer’s brain to stand-by as information is absorbed without analysis or question. Today the television’s constant signal shapes the conclusions of the masses and produces the collective norm.  The signal prescribes what is news and what is truth through the words of so-called experts and authorities, gelding the consciousness and independent thoughts of those subjected to it. Through television, the masses can be made to accept the most monstrous distortions of reality. The signal is a chill wind of continuous oppression over the minds of the masses. It controls the management of society and culture, creating uniformity across all subjects.

The fuel for this vehicle of mass deception is a technique known as perception management where an array of psychological techniques are used to alter the truth, leading the viewer to a desired conclusion. Some call this spin or propaganda while others know it as lying.  According to Joseph Goebbels, Propaganda Minister for Adolph Hitler, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it… It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” Most of what can be found on the nightly news is nothing but advertisements selling more government and a false reality that benefits only those in control. Television is the dictator of information; newspaper and radio are the whisper campaign of the television’s message.

An Honest Skeptic’s View of the Great American Conspiracies: Lincoln to 9/11 – Interview with Dr Stephen Juan

It is a great pleasure to welcome bestselling author, media personality and lecturer Dr Stephen Juan to Visibility 9-11 to talk about “honest” skepticism of the great American conspiracies.   This is a very interesting interview as we touch on many common themes in historical events setting the climate for the 9/11 Attacks.  We explore the Lincoln assassination, the sinking of the Maine and Lusitania, Pearl Harbor and the JFK assassination.   It is also a little special in my view as this skepticism is being presented in a balanced and conservative way by an intellectual who is not connected to the 9/11 Truth Movement, but rather to the mainstream.

The views expressed and questions asked by Dr Juan are really what we should be hearing from the broader academically based media communities, publications and personalities, but we most certainly and unfortunately are not.  As far as I know, with this broadcast, he is the first Australian media science personality to honestly question the official story of 9/11.  Please may there be more to follow soon! Dr Juan makes it clear that he is not an expert in these matters but he follows the principles of scientific research when reviewing events like 9/11.  In the last part of the interview, Dr Juan says he has many questions around the building collapses appearing to him to be “controlled demolitions…hello” and he thinks that the supporting evidence for the government’s account is often simply ridiculous in nature.  Dr Juan believes it is very important for us all be skeptical of our government’s excuses to go to war based on his experience and that “conspiracy theorists” should be taken seriously when serious questions remain unanswered.

Dr Juan says the truth about 9/11 is coming out much quicker than it did with the JFK assassination; so we the truth seekers should remain optimistic that the truth will out and he encourages us that many in what he calls the “underground corporate media” are trying to raise awareness of these issues when possible, sometimes indirectly.  He also explains from his experience in the media that these opportunities for the truth of 9/11 are very difficult to come across.   To find more about Dr Juan please visit his Wiki page or his website.
