What the Evidence Shows

Each of the WTC Twin Towers emitted explosive sounds well before the collapses began — reported by over 100 first responders in the FDNY recorded “Oral Histories” (the release of which was resisted by the City of New York until forced by a FOIA lawsuit by the New York Times). Numerous accounts of “flashes of light” reminiscent of demolition charges were also reported. Video footage reveals the striking symmetry, explosiveness and rapidity of the Towers’ destruction. Their destruction differed from the “classic” controlled demolition of WTC 7 (noted below) in their extreme explosiveness.

Each rubble site contained tons of molten metal “flowing like lava” in the basements — as attested by Leslie Robertson, WTC structural engineer, and numerous other contractors and first responders. Scientists have determined conclusively that thermate, a high-tech incendiary, was used — chemical traces of thermate were found in the steel and the dust. Each “collapse” exhibited thick billowing pyroclastic dust clouds thatrapidly expanded to over ten times the volume of the buildings. Each showed squibs (explosive ejections of pulverized building materials) easily seen in all the videos. The twin towers were supposed to have “pancaked” down, but there was no stack of floors found at the bottom — everything was blown outside the footprint of the buildings in a 1,200-foot radius — and 90,000 tons of concrete, metal decking and floor trusses were completely missing from the debris field.

Most damaging to the official story was WTC Building 7 — a 47-story high-rise not hit by an airplane and yet the third modern steel-framed skyscraper to collapse symmetrically at near free-fall speed on 9/11 (in 6.5 seconds) — in the exact manner of a controlled demolition with explosives. It collapsed into a neat, compact pile, exhibiting the classic features of controlled demolition:

§ Rapid onset of collapse

§ Sounds of explosions at ground floor — a full second prior to collapse

§ Symmetrical collapse — through the path of greatest resistance — at near free-fall speed (i.e., the columns offered no resistance and had to have been “removed”)

§ Collapse into its own footprint — with the steel skeleton broken up for shipment

§ Massive volume of expanding pyroclastic-like dust clouds

§ Tons of molten metal found in the basements by demolition workers

§ Chemical signature of thermate (a high-tech incendiary) found in slag and dust samples

§ Rapid oxidation and intergranular melting found (by FEMA) in the structural steel samples

§ Expert corroboration from controlled demolition professionals

§ Foreknowledge of collapse by first responders, media, NYPD, FDNY, etc.

An Open Letter about the Subject of Disinformation and Disruption within the 9/11 Truth Movement

In my humble opinion, the issue of disinformation and disruption is of critical importance to the success of the 9/11 truth movement. In fact, as I have argued, the official story of 9/11 itself is disinformation; a deliberate attempt to mislead the public about the truth about 9/11. As I have said:

“The official story of 9/11 is disinformation, which means that the subject of disinformation is a vital and essential topic of 9/11 discussion. The opinion that disinformation is ‘extraordinarily low’ in this movement misses the mark by a long-shot since the very purpose of our movement is to expose the disinformation of the official story of 9/11. We cannot avoid the subject of disinformation.”

As controversial 9/11 researcher Jim Fetzer explains:

“One of the telling signs of many disinformation artists (who may or may not be gainfully employed by some ‘shadowy government agency’) is that a lot of their claims are simply too strong to be true… I am not suggesting that any of them works for the NSA, the CIA, or the FBI. That creates an exaggerated version of the situation as I see it that makes it easy to satirize. I have no idea why they are doing what they are doing. But there are ample grounds based upon past experience to believe they are abusing logic and language to mislead and deceive others about the state of research… On the basis of my experience with them, I believe this is deliberate. Their function appears to me to be obfuscation… There is a serious disinformation movement afoot, one that finds the work of those they attack to be too good to ignore. Disinformation… is the major obstacle to the search for truth about the death of JFK.”

The NIST WTC 7 Report: Bush Science reaches its peak

In a famous book by Antoine de Saint Exupery, a little prince from another planet asks the narrator to draw a sheep. After several unsatisfactory attempts, the narrator simply draws a box and tells the little prince that the sheep is in the box. The little prince then exclaims — “That is exactly the way I wanted it!”¹

Just so, the Bush Administration asked its scientists at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for an explanation as to what happened at the World Trade Center (WTC) on 9/11. In response to this request, NIST drew up a series of fanciful stories over a period of years, each story differing from the previous one. Finally, after seven long years, NIST published its last story for WTC 7 by simply saying, in effect: “The explanation is in our computer.”²

As expected, however, this explanation in a box leaves much to be desired for those of us who prefer to live in reality, instead of in a fictional world. On the other hand, we are learning something from NIST with this new report, and that is that when government scientists begin working for a political agenda above all else, there is no limit to the extent of deception that they will engage in. We also know that those who have produced the NIST WTC reports must now assume personal responsibility for the ongoing 9/11 Wars, and the millions of deaths that will result from those wars.

NIST begins with a few little white lies, and never looks back

NIST unveiled its WTC 7 report by making a new diversionary claim that it worked only three years on the investigation. But, to the contrary, we know that NIST began its work in August 2002 and decoupled its WTC 7 report in June 2004, after creating hundreds of pages of detailed reports for WTC 7.³ The investigation ostensibly began anew in September 2005, after the report for the towers was sputtered out. Since then — other than for several “responses to FAQs” on the report for the towers — NIST has focused entirely on WTC 7. This means that, in full, NIST worked on its final explanation for the destruction of WTC 7 for at least five years, not three.

The New York Times has exposed a secret Pentagon campaign to infiltrate the media with pro-war propaganda. The scheme reaches all the way to the Bush White House, where top officials recruited dozens of “military analysts” to spread favorable views of the war via the news.

Many of these propaganda pundits didn’t reveal that they were working from Pentagon scripts or lobbying for companies seeking to cash in on major military contracts.

Matt Thompson of Free Press. net, a group that advocates for media reform reports this is a violation of every conceivable standard of journalism — and possibly of federal law.

“Missing Links” Provides the Critics of 9/11 Truth with Ample Ammunition

The makers of the documentary Missing Links, (www{dot}911missinglinks{dot}com), bill their roll-your-own documentary as “The Definitive Truth About 9/11″.

The words of the Greek playwright Euripides come to mind, “A bad beginning makes a bad ending”.

(Oh, and let me break this to the Bigfoot researchers right now… no, this film is not that crossover hit you have been waiting for breathlessly. ‘Missing Link’ in this case, refers to Jewish people… I know, I know… I feel your pain…)

The film starts out by giving “Special thanks to the independent investigators and agents, analysts and assets of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Central Intelligence Agency, National Security Agency, and Intelligence sectors of the United States Armed Forces who are still loyal to America.”

Surely, they don’t mean George Walker Bush’s ‘Amerika’?

It reminds one of the newbie on the business end of the fraternity paddle in Animal House, “Thank you, sir! May I have another?”

Perhaps I’m being too elitist here… everybody knows Dickens, right? I guess the filmmakers could be seen as playing the part of Oliver Twist, “Please sir, I want some more.”

If you were to take Jason Bermas’ recent documentary, Fabled Enemies and strip away all of the copious links that the alleged hijackers had to Western intelligence and possibly the US military, you would have the basic framework for Missing Links. Then, ignore the gargantuan profits that US oil companies have raked in, following the destructive wake of the “War on Terror” … and then you ignore the gargantuan profits that the US defense industry has raked in, post-9/11, and you’re half way done building Missing Links. Finally, ignore the fact that US and Israeli intelligence agencies have shared information, common goals (Cold War espionage anyone?) and HUMINT operations since 1951 (and even pre-dating the state of Israel in 1945 via the OSS), and the stage is set for an ahistorical hit and miss picture show that covers intelligence ops over the last 40 years with a very uneven keel.

By way of prior example, Missing Links intends to expose a “Jewish criminal network” that the filmmakers believe pulled off 9/11. (Don’t worry about NORAD’s lies, don’t worry about the 9/11 War Games, don’t worry about top CIA/Al Qaeda guy Ali Mohamed, don’t worry about CIA/Al Qaeda guy/Bojinka man Ramzi Yousef, don’t worry about CIA/Al Qaeda guy Luai Sakra, don’t worry about the instant appearance of the PATRIOT Act… after all, the makers of Missing Links didn’t.) The documentary starts out by examining the Lavon Affair. The Lavon Affair (See also: Operation Susannah), is a documented historical fact, well-known, and examined in several books, including “official sources” like Raviv and Melman’s Every Spy a Prince. The filmmakers do not spend much time analyzing the Affair as a failed venture. Instead, they follow the segment by taking a moment to infer that the WTC Towers were obviously blown up by the same people. Obviously.

The makers of the film do take a moment to lament the scapegoating of Israeli defense minister Pinhas Lavon, who got stuck holding the bag for the bungled operation, and earned an infamous place in history… and then they proceed to scapegoat Jews for 9/11.

9/11 Misinformation: Flight “Passenger Lists” Show “No Hijacker Names”

Misinformation: Passenger “Manifests” Contain “No Arab or Alleged Hijacker Names”

The assertion that 9/11 passengers lists “contained no Arab names” is frequently seen in the 9/11 truth movement. [1]  For example, this article by Enver Masud is headlined, “Why are there no Arab names on the passenger list for the planes used in the September 11, 2001 attack…?” [2] The 9/11 website 9/11 Hard Facts claims, “[On] officially released passenger lists provided by the airlines to the media, no Arab names appear on any of the four passenger lists.” [3] In David Ray Griffin’s 9/11: The Myth and the Reality, he repeats the claim that, “[Their] names should be on the flight manifests. But the flight manifests that have been released contain neither the names of the alleged hijackers nor any other Arab names.” [4] John Leonard, Webster Tarpley and Kevin Barrett’s publisher repeats the claim that “Scholars [for 9/11 Truth]… report things like ‘there were no Arabs on the passenger lists’”[5] As well, Michael C. Ruppert, citing Gary North wrote, “Another easy and non-debatable hole is with the passenger lists and the hijackers. Gary North, Ph.D. – a history professor… relied on lists published by CNN… Official reports state that there were only 19 hijackers. Second, none of listed passenger names are Arabic, Muslim… The government needs to provide an explanation for this glaring discrepancy.” [6]

Passenger Manifests versus Victim Lists

In fact, the U.S. Government withheld the actual passenger lists for years.  An earlier version of Jim Hoffman’s page on the passenger lists reported correctly that there was previously “no public evidence… Researchers who have attempted to obtain this information from the airlines have been rebuffed.” [7] However, many 9/11 researchers mistakenly cited “victim lists”—not passenger lists.  Jim Hoffman explains:

“According to the official story, teams of four and five Islamic hijackers took over Flights 11, 175, 77, and 93. Victims lists for the four planes published by CNN and elsewhere are free of Arab names…  This fact has been highlighted as suspicious by some researchers describing the lists as passenger manifests. However, these lists are not passenger manifests, but lists of victims… CNN describes its criteria for including persons in its memorial in a pop-up window labelled ‘About this site’… ‘(Those identified by federal authorities as the hijackers are not included)…’ In July of 2006 a large collection of documents was published on a website containing prosecution and defense exhibits for the trial of Zacarias Moussaoui… The faxes, reproduced below, include the names of the alleged hijackers.” [8]

Referring to “victim lists” as if they were “passenger lists” would be significantly misleading.  The CNN website frequently cited reveals that the alleged hijackers were intentionally not included.  The Complete 9/11 Timeline also cites “Terry McDermott’s 2005 book, Perfect Soldiers… Names of the five hijackers [on the manifest] are highlighted.” [9] McDermott apparently got these images and other material from the FBI, but 9/11 blogger and researcher Reprehensor claims, “When [Elias] Davidsson tried to get the manifests via FOIA, he was denied [access].” [10] These printouts are criticized by Elias Davidsson who says that, “these printouts contain no authentication and were not accompanied by chain-of-custody reports. These lists were released discreetly, without comments or indication as to their source… the FBI and the airlines have consistently refused and continue to refuse to release the authentic, original, passenger lists and flight manifests, of the four 9/11 flights… As the names of all victims and alleged hijackers have been publicized within days after 9/11, privacy considerations cannot explain the refusal to simply confirm—by releasing the original, authentic, documents—what has been publicly asserted since 9/11.” [11] In other words, the authenticity of these documents have been questioned by some 9/11 researchers.
