Colorado 9/11 Visibility Announces: Colorado Public Television to Commemorate the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 with the Broadcast of the Acclaimed Documentary “9/11 Press For Truth” with Special Guests

Appearing live in the CPT12 studios: Shari Bernson of CPT12 and Leland Rucker of Free Speech TV will interview Director Ray Nowosielski, Co-Creator John Duffy, and author Paul Thompson. The presentation will also include the premiere of some brand new video clips from the filmmakers’ latest project and a discussion by them of the newsworthy revelations therein.

CPT12 is the first PBS station to air content addressing issues of government transparency and accountability with regard to the events of 9/11. Their PBS premiere broadcast of “9/11 Press For Truth” in June 2009, with special in-studio guests Director Ray Nowosielski, Producer Kyle Hence, and victim’s family member Bob McIlvaine was a successful fundraiser not without controversy. The station received many viewer responses, pro and con, nationally and internationally.

An In Depth Interview with Bob McIlvaine – Visibility 9-11

In this in depth interview with tireless 9/11 Truth campaigner Bob McIlvaine, we look at 9/11 in its historical context.  We also hear about Bob’s detailed research into what happened to his son Bobby on 9/11 and the evidence an explosion other than the planes killed his son.

As a long term 9/11 Truth researcher (2001) , an ex-history teacher and someone who has worked in mental health, Bob has a unique perspective on society and it’s drives.  In this interview Bob gives us a insight into how he sees the world and it’s working’s and why 9/11 Truth should be seen as possibly the best chance we’ve had at bringing peace to our world. Bob believes that we may have already been successful at preventing other wars with our exposure of the 9/11 fraud; I totally agree.

Bob says he is “always ready to go!” when he is called to speak about the 9/11 tragedy and uses every opportunity to educate the population about the lies they have been told and to celebrate his sons short but exceptional life.  Thank you Bob for your tenacity, drive and absolute commitment to expose the criminal’s responsible for your sons death and all those that perished on that terrible day.  You are a great inspiration for us all!

About Bob: Bob Mcilvaine is the father of Bobby McIlvaine, a victim from the 9/11 attacks.  Bobby graduated from Princeton University, and managed to get a job at Merrill Lynch as “Assistant Vice President For Media Relations.”  He was also engaged to be married for a 2002 wedding.  On 9/11/2001, he was on his way to banking conference on the 106th floor of the World Trade Center North Tower, and was killed as a result of what happened that day.  From the evidence Bob has gathered it is apparent he was killed by an explosion, likely in the lobby.  Bob has been one of the most outspoken 9/11 Family Members with regards to seeking truth, accountability, and justice for what happened that day. He is one of the family members that attended every 9/11 Commission hearing and has attended numerous 9/11 truth conferences around the world.  He has appeared in several TV, radio, and newspaper interviews, as well as the documentary, 9/11: Press For Truth.

On the same day the FBI arrested Najibullah Zazi on what would turn out to be damningly detailed evidence of alleged terrorist intentand just three days after the ever-prescient Gary Hart proclaimed, “I don’t think he sounds like a terrorist” — KBDI-Channel 12 aired a couple of 9/11 Truther documentaries as part of a fund-raising drive.

The coincidence last Saturday was both ironic and nauseating. At the very moment when authorities were unearthing what could be the most sinister case of domestic terrorist activity since 9/11, with alleged links to the group that took down the World Trade Center, a local public television station blithely devoted much of its schedule to propaganda claiming al-Qaeda did no such thing.

Not that station management minds. “We’re not trying to capitalize on anyone’s tragedy,” said Shari Bernson, Channel 12′s membership director. “We’ve just got to get more diversity [in programming] out there.”

Besides, she told me, the films ” 9/11: Blueprint for Truth” and ” 9/11: Press for Truth” (along with the equally egregious “America: From Freedom to Fascism”) have been a boon for the station, helping it enjoy “a good year” in fundraising. Indeed, Channel 12, which also aired the shows in August, will probably broadcast them again — although perhaps not until spring.

Meanwhile, Bernson added, Channel 12 remains “the only public station that I know of” that has shown them.

No wonder. ” 9/11: Blueprint for Truth,” featuring Bay Area architect Richard Gage of Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth, peddles the familiar Truther theme that the collapse of the Twin Towers and Building 7 were the result of controlled demolitions that would have taken months to prepare. Yet in the two-hour version I watched online, Gage laughably insists that he and his colleagues “are not conspiracy theorists.”

“We’re not saying your government did this to you,” Gage explains. “Somebody was responsible for this. Somebody, somewhere on the inside was responsible.”

The “inside”? That sure sounds like government in this context.

Just in case viewers are too dense to figure out the probable culprits, Gage helpfully provides plenty of clues. Remember, he says, 9/11 “served as the pretext for the invasion of two countries in which already more than a million people have perished. Also as the pretext for the loss of many of our cherished liberties here at home in the United States through recent legislation such as the Patriot Act . . . .”

“Is it likely,” he wonders at one point, “that al-Qaeda could have had access to” Building 7, with its sensitive government offices, since it must have been as secure as anything “outside the Pentagon?”

He’s got us there, doesn’t he? Perhaps President Bush himself, along with a crack team of demolition experts from the CIA, personally packed Building 7 and the Twin Towers with explosives in the run-up to 9/11, while Dick Cheney and his Halliburton cronies organized the al-Qaeda dupes who would hijack the planes.

Sounds plausible to me.

And how has the grand conspiracy, which the film suggests includes the major media, been kept under wraps all these years? Why has no one in this vast web of deceit developed pangs of conscience or second thoughts, or called in a film crew for a death-bed confession?

Anticipating such questions, Gage claims “the Manhattan project had thousands of people and was kept quite a secret for a very long time.” By “very long time,” he must mean the brief period before spies like Klaus Fuchs, David Greenglass and Theodore Hall began passing classified material to the Soviets.

Channel 12 is a local asset with lots of good programs, and Bernson is no doubt sincere that “we weren’t sitting around trying to figure how to upset the community” when the decision was made to air these films. It’s not even clear the community is upset, given the apparently modest volume of complaints that Bernson reports and the success in fundraising.

Before you know it, even Zazi’s story will no doubt be woven into the fevered folklore that sees a cabal of omnipotent insiders toying with us all. In its own way, that’s almost as scary as what that airport shuttle driver and his friends allegedly intended to do.

The Ombudsman Column
PBS, Yes and No

What follows is more of a grab bag rather than an ombudsman’s mailbag.

Included are a couple of unusual but not widely known episodes that unfolded last week that I thought might be of interest more broadly to PBS viewers. They can be seen to have at least some association with PBS in the way they were presented or appeared to the public. Yet PBS, as an enterprise, didn’t have anything to do with them.

These things happen because PBS is a strange beast within the world of media. Its hundreds of member stations are all independent and can broadcast what they want, and some of the superstars associated with PBS programs are also forces unto themselves with lots of other interests and outlets. Yet these stations and these superstars are widely perceived, rightly or wrongly, as joined at the hip to PBS in the mind of many viewers.

So these episodes — one involving a member station in Denver and the other involving talk show host Tavis Smiley — struck me as interesting and worthy of sharing beyond the normal back and forth with viewers over the widely viewed and well-known PBS programs that are broadcast nationally and that we all associate with public television.
The Conspiracy Pledge

The first episode involves PBS member station KBDI in Denver, Colo. Earlier this summer and again in mid-August and last weekend, the station ran a series of independent documentary films labeled: “America: Freedom to Fascism,” “9/11: Press for Truth,” and “9/11: Blueprint for Truth.” These films ran as part of a pledge drive by the station to raise funds. These are controversial films that feed conspiracy theories and theorists about the origins and results of the 9/11 attacks. The “Blueprint” film, for example, “offers evidence that all three World Trade Center high-rises were destroyed not by fire and damage, per the official story, but by explosive-controlled demolitions on September 11, 2001,” according to the official blurb describing the film.

Current Magazine, public broadcasting’s monthly newspaper, has now given this bold move by KBDI some well deserved attention in its September 8, 2009 issue.  This article is much more balanced than Joanne Ostrow’s smear of the movement and is more in line with real journalism that is so lacking in today’s mainstream media.  Thank you to Current Magazine!

This episode of Words of Freedom welcomes to the program Shari Bernson, Membership Director and Executive Producer at KBDI-TV, Channel 12 in Denver Colorado.  KBDI has taken bold steps in recent months with historic airings of 9-11 Press for Truth on June 3 as well as the August 15th, 2009 airing of 9-11 Blueprint for Truth.  These fund raisers for the Denver PBS television station included a screening of these excellent documentaries along with in studio interviews with Kyle Hence, Ray Nowosielski, 9-11 family member Bob McIlvaine, and Richard Gage, AIA with members of Colorado 9-11 Visibility who were on hand answering phones.

Shari is a nationally recognized producer with over 20 years-combined experience in the television, entertainment and media.  She has been a leader in her field and has raised over $17 million dollars for public television.  Shari is also an on-air talent for KBDI and serves as the main host during these historic airings.

This interview contains excerpts from a longer interview and was broadcast on KRFC 88.9 FM in Fort Collins Colorado on August 3rd and again on August 17th, 2009.  We think this program provides a valuable tool for 9-11 activists to take to the PBS stations in their area to better demonstrate the positive experiences of KBDI after making the decision to air programming with September 11th content.  This interview features a behind the scenes look at some of the decision making processes which went into selecting these documentaries for airing, how 9-11 Press for Truth was received by the public, the role of the local 9-11 group, and the groundswell of support from the Colorado community and indeed from around the world.

KBDI pushes limits on controversial pledge tie-ins

KBDI-Channel 12 has a reputation for broadcasting bold, distinctive documentaries. Just where to draw the line between bold/distinctive and kooky/irresponsible is a matter of opinion.

Last weekend, during a pledge drive, Channel 12 aired controversial documentaries promoting conspiracy theories surrounding 9/11 and claiming taxes are unlawful. Answering the phones during the pledge drive were conspiracy believers who reportedly encouraged callers to believe.

The station received complaints over “America: Freedom to Fascism” along with ” 9/11: Press for Truth” and ” 9/11: Blueprint for Truth.” It also fielded requests for more.

The claims made in “Freedom to Fascism,” namely that the country is evolving into a police state ruled by a powerful elite that has tricked Americans into paying taxes, have been refuted by facts, notably in a lengthy New York Times piece last month.

I’m with the viewer who cancelled his KBDI membership and wrote, “What’s next on the KBDI hit list, films about President Obama being a citizen of Kenya or about how health-care reform wants to kill your grandmother?”

It’s nothing new for KBDI to staff the phone banks during pledge drives with supporters of whatever is on the air. Conservationists have been recruited to answer phones during nature broadcasts. Still, the arrangement raises questions about whether the station is making deals with interest groups to carry programming in exchange for pledge support.

A KBDI spokeswoman said, “Phone bank people are instructed not to get into debates whatever the issue. We can find people to staff our phone banks without making deals.”

Shari Bernson, Channel 12′s membership director, selects documentaries for airing. Her goal, she said, is to provide a forum for expression of different points of view and to air things the other stations won’t. “It hasn’t been easy with this content,” she said.

” 9/11: Pressed for Truth” was one of KBDI’s top five fundraisers in the past year. The station plans encores of the 9/11 docs in September.

“I am not a 9/11 truther,” Bernson volunteered. But her research found 43 percent of Americans have questions about what actually happened on 9/11. As far as fundraising goes, “Our mission is airing programming outside the mainstream.”

The station knows controversy fuels fundraising. Fully 32 percent of the station’s budget comes from pledges.

Major 9/11 Truth Breakthrough!!! KBDI Denver Airs 9/11 Press for Truth

It was a big big day at the KBDI Five Points Media center for 9/11 Truth.

Having developed a relationship with the Denver metro area local PBS broadcasting station for over the last 3 years by simply taking donation phones calls, in exchange for a few minutes to talk to the audience about the 9/11 cover up, Colorado 9-11 Visibility has succeeded in making history.

KBDI aired the groundbreaking documentary film 9/11 Press for Truth June 4, 2009 during prime time with well over an hour of live interviews with film producers Kyle Hence and Ray Nowosielski, and also powerful testimony from Bob McIlvaine.

Station managers and VP were extremely pleased as to how well this documentary was received and should be commend for doing what no other station has done in the nation and air a controversial film exposing the cover up of the 9/11 tragedy by our government.

The station Press Release reflects the excitement and enthusiasm of the Colorado’s 9/11 Truth community hailing this a major step forward and encouraging other stations to air this incredible documentary film.

Typical Ad-Hominem Hit Piece Emerges in the Wake of Wednesday’s Historic Broadcast on KBDI

Just two days after the historic broadcast of 9-11 Press for Truth on KBDI Channel 12 in Denver, a hit piece on this event has been published at a Denver based “news” website.  In typical fashion that has become well known and easily recognizable, the article consists of straw-man arguments and ad hominem attacks.  The article is so sloppily written that the author even gets the city where KBDI is located wrong.  Please visit the comments section for this article and leave some feedback for Mr. Lee.  –Michael

PBS doesn’t just lean left, it falls down drunk left.

Last Wednesday (5/27/09), Mike Rosen interviewed Doug Price, CEO of Rocky Mountain PBS television, on his 850 KOA radio show. Price appeared on KOA to debate Rosen’s assertion (which he had previously made in his weekly Denver Post editorial column), that public broadcasting is left of center. Price tried for an hour to make the case that, while PBS (nationally) may “lean left”, his and other local public television stations, do not.

Just two days later, KDBI – public broadcasting in Boulder, CO ran a fundraiser during prime time featuring a video entitled, 9/11 Press For Truth, which presents a completely one-sided screed against the Bush Administration, claiming that (it) knew the 9/11 attacks were coming and did nothing to prevent them. The program neglects to interview any senior Bush White House personnel or to even mention the relevant intelligence that was made available to the Clinton Administration.

Executive Producer Kyle Hence, Director Ray Nowosielski, and family member Bob McIlvaine – who lost his son Bobby in the attacks on New York – were in the KBDI studios and extolled their film throughout the evening. Additionally, volunteers from Colorado 911 Visibility were on hand to answer phones, although they appeared without their trademark tin foil hats.
After the show aired, KDBI staff offered the DVD (as a premium) as they hawked membership donations. At that same time, those individuals directly associated with this far Left conspiracy, were allowed to proclaim on air, that “Bush Administration personnel should be criminally prosecuted” based solely on the case they presented in their own program.

Based on this example of station-sanctioned, Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS), it appears that, despite the protestations and rationalizations of PBS exec Doug Price, Mike Rosen was indeed accurate (in his contention) that public broadcasting, like the Leaning Tower of Pizza, leans left – way left.

‘9/11 Press for Truth’ on Channel 12 Draws Huge Support from Colorado Public Television Viewers

DENVER – (June 4, 2009) – KBDI has always been at the forefront of controversial programming and last night was no exception. As the first broadcast station in the United States to air the controversial documentary 9/11Press for Truth, which claims a 9/11 cover-up, KBDI showed that it is not afraid to touch on sensitive subjects.

Due to viewer response to the program, Channel 12 will repeat the program Saturday, June 6 at 2 p.m. and 9 p.m., followed by an encore at midnight.

During the premiere, Bob McIlvaine, who lost his son Bobby at the World Trade Center, and 9/11Press for Truth producer Kyle Hence and director Ray Nowosielski were in the studio to give more insight into why they believed 9/11 was a cover-up and why the American public should be screaming for answers.

Supporters of the documentary hope that because of the risk KBDI took by putting 9/11 Press for Truth on the air that more PBS stations across the nation will take a chance and broadcast the controversial documentary.

Press for Truth’s producer Kyle Hence already has heard the cries saying people from all over the country have been forwarding his e-mails on to their local PBS stations.

‘9/11 Press for Truth’ U.S. Television Premiere will be June 3
on KBDI-Channel 12

The film’s producer and a victim’s father will be in KBDI’s studio for the premiere

DENVER – (May 26, 2009) – 9/11 Press for Truth, an independent documentary that claims a 9/11 cover-up, has been shown in theatres and broadcast overseas, but it hasn’t been aired on a U.S. broadcast station.

That will change next week when KBDI-Channel 12 premiers the controversial documentary Wednesday, June 3 at 7 p.m.

During Channel 12’s premiere, Bob McIlvaine, who lost his son Bobby at the World Trade Center, and 9/11Press for Truth  producer Kyle Hence will join KBDI-Channel 12’s Shari Bernson in KBDI’s studio.

9/ll Press for Truth emerged from a group of grieving activist families that joined together to demand a press for truth.  Five of the families – including McIlvaine and three of the famous “Jersey Girls” – tell their story in the documentary, providing argument for why 9/11 still needs investigation.

The families found an ally in Paul Thompson, who wrote a definitive 9/11 timeline, and also found allies in the filmmakers who stitch together rare, overlooked news clips, buried stories and government press conferences, revealing what is portrayed as a pattern of lies, deception and spin.

The documentary asserts that although independent investigations began within weeks of both Pearl Harbor and the Kennedy assassination, the same was not true of the attacks of September 11, and the formation of the 9/11 Commission was strongly opposed by many in Washington, including the Bush Administration.  It was only due to pressure from the 9/11 families, led by twelve calling themselves the Family Steering Committee, that, 14 months after the attacks, the first hearing began.

“Channel 12 zeroed in on this documentary to further our exploration of the movement toward truth and accountability in the country,” Bernson said.  The station is already receiving inquiry calls and emails, she said. “We are pleased to see interest in the subject matter that shouldn’t be shunned, and deserves to be discussed more widely.”

The documentary premiered theatrically in New York City in 2006 and has been shown in cities across the United States and throughout the world.

Wednesday’s airing represents its first on a U.S. broadcast station, and the first time a PBS affiliate has given voice to documentary filmmakers who have credibly challenged the official narrative of what happened on 9/11 and why.

“In July 2004, when the 9/11 Commission released its Final Report, we read with enormous interest, Chapter 6 – “From Threat to Threat”, including footnote #44. Footnote #44 details an instance where a CIA desk officer intentionally withheld vital information from the FBI about two of the 9/11 hijackers who were inside the United States. This footnote further states that the CIA desk officer covered-up the decision to withhold said vital information from the FBI. Finally, footnote #44 states that the CIA desk officer could not recall who told her to carry out such acts.”

Also included in this discussion are the circumstances surrounding the historic national premier of 9-11 Press for Truth on a major market PBS station.  On June 3, 2009 at 7:00pm, 9-11 Press for Truth will be shown on KBDI, Channel 12 in Denver Colorado.  This historic broadcast will feature in studio interviews during the broadcast of Kyle Hence, Bob McIlvaine, and a representative of Colorado 9-11 Visibility.  As has been the case for the past couple of years, Colorado 9-11 Visibility will also be manning the phone banks during the broadcast which is also part of their periodic fund drives at KBDI.  A great list of 9-11 books and DVD’s will be offered as premium gifts to viewers who pledge during this broadcast.  Please contact KBDI and let them know how much you appreciate this historic broadcast and if you can, give them a donation which best fits your budget.

Media Breakthrough!  9-11 Press for Truth to Be Shown on Mainstream Television

I am very happy to announce that for the first time in our movements history,  9-11 Press for Truth will be shown on a mainstream media television station.  KBDI Channel 12 in Denver Colorado has just confirmed that they will be showing this groundbreaking film during their upcoming pledge drive on June 3, 2009.

As has been the case in the recent past, Colorado 9-11 Visibility will be there manning the phone banks and expect to get some prime time during this showing to make our plea for a new investigation into the crimes of September 11th, 2001.

As many of you may know, this is not the first time that Colorado 9-11 Visibility has made an appearance on KBDI.  Our most recent appearance was in March of this year during the showing of America, Freedom to Fascism.  Our time at KBDI actually goes back a couple of years when one of our members, Michael Anderson approached the station about our group volunteering to man the phones during their pledge drive.  As a perk for the volunteering organization, KBDI gives the opportunity to promote the group on-air during their time on the phone banks and promote we did!  We do not know the whole story on what kind of effect we had, but during this initial appearance on KBDI, we handed out DVD’s and other 9-11 related literature to the staff at the station.  To me, they were friendly enough, but I felt their reception of us was lukewarm at best.  What a nice surprise to us when we were invited back again and again for all subsequent pledge drives since and given and increasingly warmer reception.  And now this!  We are ecstatic over this as it is the result of years of determined work by our group of very dedicated activists here in Colorado.

It’s About the Questions

My one hour radio show, the Downsize DC Conference Call, is on this afternoon (Sunday) at 4 PM Eastern (3 PM Central, 2 PM Mountain, and 1 PM Pacific). I think this may be one of the most memorable and important shows I’ll ever do.

For about three years now, with each passing month, the call for DownsizeDC.org to do something on the topic of 9-11 has intensified. People have sent me videos, books, articles, and tons of emails, insisting that there was more there than met the eye.

I have found some of this stuff to be interesting. However, the claims made in these various presentations almost always exceeded the evidence (when it should be the other way around). Some of them were sheer lunacy.

In February a friend of mine lent me a DVD titled, “9/11 Press for Truth.” I didn’t want to watch it, but he insisted that this presentation was different. I didn’t believe him, but he was a friend, and so I watched it anyway. And he was right.
