This is the first in a series of Week of Truth events to coalesce the power of the national truth movement. Following this Week of Truth action, we will draw attention to two major 9/11 conferences in the Northeast to be tentatively scheduled in the month of May.The current installment of the Week of Truth features New York Times Best Selling Author, Steve Alten and his new book, The Shell Game. Our effort is to be a focused, movement wide attempt to bring The Shell Game into the Top 10 of the New York Times Best Seller List.

Our Goal

To propel The Shell Game into the Top 10 of the New York Times Best Seller List. To achieve this URGE all your contacts to buy multiple copies of 9/11 truth telling novel – The Shell Game – between April 16 to 22nd, the focused week when the NY Times list will count those sales.Reading the book will be an eye opener for those Americans who have never been exposed to 9-11 truth. Being in the Top 10 of the New York Times Best Seller List will bring 9-11 truth to many more readers but additionally, has far more potential in the form of positive media exposure.

An author who finds his/her book in the Top 10 of the New York Times Best Seller List has many perks and opportunities which perpetuate and expand on the success of the book. For example:

1. Top 10 books and authors get premium placement and shelf space in the front of the store.
2. Major merchandise outlets like Wal-Mart and drug chains purchase their inventory directly off the the Top 10 of the New York Times Best Seller List.
3. Mainstream television and radio shows shop for guests from the Top 10 of the New York Times Best Seller List. Top 10 status will generally get the author mainstream television and radio exposure. Steve Alten has pledged to bring 9-11 truth to the audiences of these programs if given the opportunity.

Due to the fact that Steve Alten has interwoven key 9-11 facts into his novel, a successful campaign of this sort will bring the issue of 9-11 to the forefront of the minds of many Americans. Truth as Terrorism

President Bush holds press conference. Congress urged to pass law making it easier to eavesdrop on phone calls and e-mails of suspected terrorists.

Just who are these suspected terrorists that President Bush seeks a blank check to spy on? Recent reports in USA Today indicates that the government’s terrorist watch list has swelled to 755,000 names. In December of 2005 NBC News reported that a secret Defense Department document listed a Quaker Meeting House gathering of anti-war activists as a “threat.”

“This peaceful, educationally oriented group being a threat is incredible,” says Evy Grachow, a member of the Florida group called The Truth Project.

MSNBC goes on to report:

… the Pentagon now collects domestic intelligence that goes beyond legitimate concerns about terrorism or protecting U.S. military installations, say critics.

In December 2005 the ACLU published a press release: New Documents Show FBI Targeting Environmental and Animal Rights Groups Activities as ‘Domestic Terrorism’

The ACLU said that some of the documents suggest infiltration by undercover “sources” at animal rights meetings and conferences.

At times, the documents show aggressive attempts by the FBI to link PETA, Greenpeace and other mainstream organizations to activists associated with the Animal Liberation Front (ALF) or Earth Liberation Front (ELF), said the ACLU. PETA, in particular, is repeatedly and falsely singled out as a “front” for militant organizations although in at least one document released today the FBI appears to acknowledge that it has no evidence to back up such assertions.

Equally disturbing, on November 8, 2007 CSPAN aired a hearing of the Homeland Security Subcommittee’s “Terrorism and the Internet.” These hearings purported to identify “home grown terrorist recruiters” on the internet, in connection with House Bill HR 1955, “Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007.”

A VITAL PLEA from Steve Alten, author of The SHELL GAME

To the 9/11 Truth Movement

I know you are probably getting tired/annoyed at hearing from me — my humble apologies. But something is happening in DC that EVERYONE must be aware of, because it will affect all of us:

A few days ago, Michael Chertoff, head of Homeland Security, essentially told reporters that he fears the next 9/11, which could be a suitcase nuke. Yesterday, in threatening to veto a waterboarding ban, Bush said, and I quote, “terrorists are planning new attacks on our country… that will make Sept. 11 pale by comparison.”

If this plot isn’t straight out of The SHELL GAME then you haven’t read the book. Now add this little tidbit: Executive Order 12919 (pushed through by the Bushies) would place the United States under total Martial Law and Military Dictatorship in the event of another attack. This Executive Order allows the President to declare a National Emergency at any time, and freeze everything…including a national election. Congress is powerless to prevent such an Executive Dictatorship, as long as the President advises Congress in a timely matter.

I realize all of you have very important 9/11 projects you are working on, books and rallies, etc, but if we learned anything from 9/11 then maybe it is time to focus on the next false flag operation. By doing so, we might actually be able to reach the mass media AND bring attention to the lies behind the last event. See, the media want TODAYS NEWS, not YESTERDAYS. And this is today’s news that ties back to 9/11/01.

I can help you gain mainstream attention in a big way…but I need your support.

Guys, in the last 11 years I have published eight books, hit every best seller list, optioned a book as a movie (twice), sold two scripts, and have two more books set for publication in 2009. To be honest, I knew little about the 9/11 Truth Movement until sometime around October/November when The SHELL GAME went to print. I quickly realized that this loosely-connected group of people, often vilified by the media, were in fact ordinary citizens doing extraordinary things. Here’s what is really exciting: Barnes & Noble and Borders front table space only began Feb. 1. If we can continue to push it up the list into the top 10, the following dominoes will fall:

1. Supermarkets, drugstores, Targets, etc., will automatically BUY IN as they purchase off the NY Times list.

2. Major newspapers will ask for review copies and interviews.

3. Major shows like Letterman will be interested.

4. The top 10 best seller list is published each week in NATIONAL PAPERS. It is what people buy from. The potential to create a WAVE of mass sales is there, persuading the media and public alike.

What does this mean to the 9/11 Truth Movement?

It means you just got yourself a crowbar to leverage open doors that have been slammed shut.

And I am not playing it safe. If you listened to my interview with former Senator Robert Rovner, I pull no punches. I let everyone know that YOU are the voice of patriotism, a voice that has been deliberately smeared by disinformation tactics because the powers-that-be fear the truth. And the truth is… the Bushies committed TREASON! I also discuss war games, put orders, and Cheney issuing stand down order in the bunker…and then direct them to YOUR websites and blogs.

I’ve been getting lots of e-mail from readers, both Dems and Republicans, that are SHOCKED by the 9/11 revelations. They are disgusted and want to know more. Every time a book is sold and read, a mind is reprogrammed. Or de-brainwashed.

What’s important now is NOT TO LET UP! Your efforts have given us momentum, but it can be so much more. A novel can reach the critical masses during a critical election. A number 1 – 5 spot will add fuel to the movie potential (I already have a producer attached.) Oh…the new second editions list many of you in the ACKNOWLEDGMENTS.

I’m committed. For the record, I’ve already spent every dime I made on the book for the two book trailers (see http://youtube.com/theshellgame ). And like you, I get my daily dosage of e-mail threats. Photos of my home on blogs. My private phone numbers. Stealing of private e-mails. Calls at 4am. Someone is certainly getting freaked out about the potential of a novel. To quote Tom Petty, “I won’t back down.”

The 9/11 Truth “LIHOP vs. MIHOP” is “BS that Must STOP!”

In a brilliant blog article of January 28th, a blogger known as Arabesque, begins his insightful article with N.Y. Times best selling novelist Steve Alten’s interview with Michael Wolsey on Visibility911 Radio. Regarding the ways the 9/11 truth movement is kept ineffective and splintered:

In an interview with Michael Wolsey, Shell Game author Steve Alten supplied a relevant and important criticism of the 9/11 truth movement.

Wolsey asked, “Do you personally believe that the attacks were allowed to succeed… or do you believe that there was participation… ‘inside job’… and if the latter is the case, did you intentionally tone that down to invite other people in who might be hostile to that idea?”

Alten criticized the 9/11 truth movement while supplying his answer:

Steve Alten: “…My take on this is that if a real investigation were to happen–a real one, that the trail of evidence would lead directly back to the white house… they would be found guilty of treason. For me to say “let it happen” versus “made it happen”… my objective is to stay above the fray of the 9/11 truth movement…. the 9/11 truth movement, for the terrific work it has done is fragmented. That doesn’t help anybody…We need to spread this information out to the masses… let’s put it this way. A crime happened. The biggest crime in the history of the world. The perpetrators got away with it so far. The trap has been placed within the movement… I’ve had people email me and… I’ve been attacked on blogs… ‘Alten doesn’t believe in this and Alten doesn’t believe in that, so how could we possibly support his book?’… That’s a trap.

Michael Wolsey: If you don’t agree with everything I say, you must be bad… I’ve been attacked ruthlessly for that, so I can relate.

Steve Alten: …it doesn’t solve anything to force your opinion on one group or another where you have to accept everyone’s opinion… A crime happened. There was a reason for that crime…. The 9/11 truth “it must be bad because you don’t agree 100% with what I believe, therefore you are a shill” syndrome is very apparent in some quarters. Ultimately, if the book can get people asking questions and doing research (along with presenting credible facts of its own), I think that would make it successful for what it is. Ultimately, we need many types of media getting people to look at the facts for themselves and get educated.

Interview with New York Times Bestselling Author Steve Alten

New York Times bestselling author Steve Alten is releasing a novel January 22nd which addresses the 9/11 stand down, the injection of false radar blips into air traffic controllers’ screens, PNAC, the 9/11 Commission whitewash, the Anthrax attacks, and related issues.

Written in the exciting, cloak-and-dagger style of Tom Clancy, the novel — The Shell Game — has a shot at educating a large segment of the American public who would otherwise remain in the dark about some aspects of 9/11.

Alten is well-aware of media censorship of 9/11 truth (for example, he agrees with this analysis, he also sent me an advance copy of the book), and is trying to break through the media blockade using his resume as bestselling author to spread his message.

I just finished reading The Shell Game, and caught up with Alten by email.

GW: I really like The Shell Game, Steve. It had me on the edge of my seat, and I stayed up later than I should have a couple of nights to finish it.

SA: My books tend to be … page-turners. The Shell Game does that and adds another twist … it’s all real, or it predicts what may really happen unless we stop the insanity. To stop it you must first be aware of it.

GW: If enough people read The Shell Game, it could bypass media censorship regarding 9/11 and reach people who would otherwise not be exposed to the facts. But if it doesn’t sell well, then it will simply be an entertaining read for those already aware of the facts behind 9/11. So how are your efforts to promote The Shell Game going?

SA: We’ve been getting copies into the hands of key 9/11 groups over the last six months. Now it’s up to them to create a buzz … along with my mainstream fans.

GW: The Shell Game reads like a mix of Tom Clancy, Robert Ludlum and Dan Brown. Are those 3 authors all influences on your writing?

SA: Clancy, Thomas Harris, Ian Fleming…among others.

GW: Your discussions about 9/11 will be familiar to those who have studied the issue. In addition to Michael Ruppert’s Crossing the Rubicon and David Ray Griffin’s writings, what other 9/11 writings do you like?
