Frontline: Too Timid, Too Little, Too Late

I could only watch 10 minutes of it before I turned it off. Thanks to Betsy for sending this to me. For more on Kristina Borjesson, I recommend her article entitled, “Are The Osama Tapes Fake?“, and the panel she took part in with Sibel Edmonds. - Jon

By Ray McGovern

27/03/08 “ICH” — - Frontline’s “Bush’s War” on PBS Monday and Tuesday evening was a nicely put-together rehash of the top players’ trickery that led to the attack on Iraq, together with the power-grabbing, back-stabbing, and limitless incompetence of the occupation.

Except for an inside-the-beltway tidbit here and there—for example, about how the pitiable secretary of state Colin Powell had to suffer so many indignities at the hands of other type-A hard chargers, Frontline added little to the discussion. Notably missing was any allusion to the unconscionable role the Fourth Estate adopted as indiscriminate cheerleader for the home team; nor was there any mention that the invasion was a serious violation of international law. But those omissions, I suppose, should have come as no surprise.

Ray McGovern Debates James Woolsey On The Iraq War

In 2004, Robert Greenwald made a movie entitled, “Uncovered: The Whole Truth About The Iraq War“. In it, there are such notables as Karen Kwiatkowski, Scott Ritter, Ray McGovern, and many others. I’m assuming around that time (because I don’t know the exact date of this debate), Charlie Rose had CIA Analyst of 27 years Ray McGovern, and Former CIA Director James Woolsey on his TV show to discuss the arguments made in the film. You can watch the debate here, however, the voices lose sync with the mouths, and it becomes annoying (hence the reason I recorded it). This definitely appears to have taken place before the famous “Downing Street Memos“, and John Conyers’ hearings (copy & paste the URL and open it in RealPlayer).

I thought Ray did phenomenally, as he always does. I’ll let you decide how well James Woolsey did. This debate is new to me (hence the reason I’m posting it).

I Question Ray McGovern And Scott Ritter On 9/11

7/22/2006

This is from an event where the discussion was about the Iraq Occupation. It was sponsored by Montco Democracy for America (www.dfalink.com/montcodfa). Former Weapons Inspector Scott Ritter and ex CIA Analyst Ray McGovern were the speakers of the event. Both had compelling things to say. Scott Ritter is obviously passionate about what he believes, and I believe him to be a good man. I think he’s wrong to say there’s no “hard evidence” regarding 9/11. When he said that, I wanted to say, “Have you looked into it?” However, I kept my cool. Mr. McGovern is always a pleasure to see. This encounter was reminiscent of our first meeting. We were at the 9/11 People’s Commission in Washington D.C. on 9/11/2004. At that meeting, I was fortunate enough to get the first question. Today was no different. I made sure I was first in line. Our first meeting in D.C. took place at a church. Today’s meeting did as well. When I asked my question, there was complete silence in the room. I met someone in the potty who thanked me for asking the question, and he said the person he was with said, “Did someone just insinuate that the Government was responsible for 9/11?” The responses I received, especially from Scott Ritter, weren’t exactly what I was hoping for. However, I think, or at least I hope, it made an impact on some people in the room. The highlight of the event, for me, was when the coordinator of the event came to speak with me. He shook my hand, and said, “Thank you for your question.” Not a bad day.

Rowan Scarborough Says Ray McGovern & VIPS Are Sabotaging War On Terror

I am a huge fan of Ray McGovern’s. He has one of the keenest intellects I’ve ever seen, and his insight into what’s going on in our country, and in our world is incredibly valuable. You may remember that I questioned Ray and Scott Ritter last summer. I also questioned Ray during the 2004 9/11 People’s Commission in Washington D.C., and defended him when the PNAC News attacked him. I was so proud of Ray when confronted Rummy. So much so, I made a “tribute” to him. A lot of info there. - Jon

The 9/11 Truth Movement Is Not Anti-Semitic And Neither is Ray McGovern

Recently, there have been many accusations against me for being some kind of “Zionist Mole for Larry Silverstein.” or someone that prohibits others from looking at information regarding Israel and 9/11. That I like to promote Pakistan’s relationship to 9/11 more to take the focus off of Israel. Hopefully, this will put that to rest.
